Dragon Quest Tact Strategy Guide With The Best Hints, Tips and Cheats For Beginners.
Dragon
Quest Tact, the strategic mobile monster battler from Square Enix, is now
available worldwide for Android and iOS devices after amassing over 10 million
free downloads since its July 2020 debut in Japan.
Introducing
a new form of grid-based combat to the long-running RPG franchise, Dragon Quest
Tact challenges players to recruit, train, and customize a roster of iconic
monsters from across the series’ many installments. To celebrate the worldwide
launch of this tactical RPG, Square Enix is offering a free King Slime for a
limited time to bolster players’ starting line-up with a touch of regal class
and power.
From
the series’ signature adorable Slimes, Sabrecubs, and stalwart Golems to the
fiercer Hybirds, Killing Machines, and fire-flinging Dragonlords every monster
has a place as players battle to save the world of Orchesterra from the
machinations of the dark lord.
Follow the hints, tips and cheats in this strategy guide and you’ll find yourself getting even better at Dragon Quest Tact.
A Strong Start
Dragon Quest Tact may look fun or cool
with cute and awesome monsters for players to tame, but make no mistake, this
game can definitely be difficult at times. This is especially true if players
have a rough start. After the mandatory tutorial, it is possible to get three
thousand gems for free. These are meant to be used for players to build their
first team or party of monsters. Complete about five to six stages after the
tutorial in Chapter 2, Stage 1 and these gems will be unlocked.
Once players have their bags full of money, the next step
is to use these crucial gems to scout for useful companions to aid them in
their quest. There are many powerful monsters available in the scout tab;
however, players will want to try to get their hands on either the Killing
Machine or Wight King. Better yet, try to get both of them since rerolling is
allowed when scouting. Both the Killing Machine and the Wight King are the only
two top tier "S-Ranked" monsters that players can get with this
method. Rerolling over and over may take a while, and getting either of them is
pure chance, but they are definitely worth the effort.
Missions And Events
Missions and Events in Dragon Quest Tact can
yield great rewards for players. Especially the Daily Events, which are located
in the "Adventure" tab. These Daily Events reward players with scout
vouchers, which can be used to collect even more monsters to aid them in
battle. Missions can also grant players more scout tickets. The Beginner
Missions provides players with free S-Rank Scout Vouchers once it is completed.
Be sure to constantly check both missions and events in
order to gain more opportunities to befriend more allies. The more monsters players
have battling for them, the easier and more versatile their combat strategies
can be. These missions and events are not the hardest to complete, although
trying to complete them all can feel like a tedious grind. All players really
have to do is progress through the game's multiple stages and chapters to
receive their rewards, but they have to manually go back to the Missions or
Adventure tabs to accept their gifts.
Auto Battling And Fast
Speed
Once a player's team has been established, their party of
powerful monsters are now combat-ready. Dragon Quest Tact has
an Auto Battling function and a Fast Speed option that helps players save a bit
of time. There are all sorts of battles and enemies in Adventure Mode that
players will have to partake in. Using the Auto Battle and Fast Speed functions
by default, the player's party will fight and do all the work without the
player needing to lift a finger. This is very useful for grinding out
experience points to level up monsters during battles.
However, though these functions are beneficial, they are
not always the best decision. Some battles have epic loot in the form of
treasure chests, and it's worth battling manually to secure the chests without
the battle ending too quickly.
Skip Tickets
Adventure Quests will sometimes yield items known as
"Skip Tickets." They can also be found at the Swap Shop for purchase.
These allow players to grind some experience points for their monsters but only
after clearing all three of each battle's stage missions. Essentially, they
allow players to complete another attempt on an already completed mission
quickly. With the right amount of stamina, an easy level up for a weak party of
monsters is possible, as is collecting more items via spending multiple skip
tickets.
But that's not all they're good for. It is also possible
to farm monster duplicates, which are necessary for a monster's
"awakening." Awakened monsters are basically better versions of the
monster that will do much better in combat. By using skip tickets on the
adventure quests that award players with a monster upon completion, players can
end up with the monster they originally got when they first completed the
quest. Hence, a monster duplication farm can be exploited so long as Skip
Tickets and Stamina are available.
Leader Perks
When designing a monster party, it is important to keep
in mind the multiple perks each monster provides to that party. Most
importantly, the leading monster in the number one slot. It is crucial to make
sure that the monster has an active leader perk, which will boost the party's
chances of being victorious in battle.
Once a monster's leadership perk is active, synergize the
rest of the party with monsters that would benefit from that perk. Maybe the
perk increases certain monster stats or lowers magic usage. In which case, fill
the party with monsters that would take advantage of that perk.
Use a
Strong Party to Secure Victory
After
you’ve put together a band of trusty monster companions, you’ll have to
participate in all sorts of tactical battles in Adventure mode. Now it’s worth
letting your party work for you by using the Auto battle and fast speed options
by default. But whenever you come upon an adventure battle that has a treasure
chest present, it’s worth doing everything manually at first so you can recover
that precious item through your own efforts. Once you’ve done that, revert back
to the auto-battle and fast speed options to let your party secure the victory.
Relying
on the same party of monsters you started out with is the best way to go during
the main adventure’s story missions – the gradual increase in that mode’s
difficulty shouldn’t present too much of an overwhelming challenge since your
main party will regularly level up over time. As you amass a collection of even
more monsters, be sure to add them to your other party lineups so you can use
them for other adventure-themed battles and Training Quests.
Use
Your Skip Tickets to Farm Monster XP
Getting
your hands on Skip Tickets can be accomplished by completing various Adventure
quests and purchasing them from the Handy Items section within the Swap Shop.
You’re going to need to put them to good use as they come in handy for farming
XP for all your parties of monsters. Of course, you’ll need to clear all three
of each battle’s stage missions to open them up for your skip ticket usage. If
you have the stamina to do so, put one of your weaker parties into place and
use up all of your skip tickets to earn all the XP and items you desire.
Keep
in mind that using your skip tickets on the types of completed missions that
award you with a new monster on your first completion may just give you another
copy of that monster. So keep that in mind whenever you’re looking to acquire
the monster duplicates you need to awaken the monsters that are already in your
possession.
Complete
Your Non-Story, Limited Chance Adventure Quests
As
you make your way through adventure mode’s story battles, you’ll gradually
unlock new types of training quests and the special Battle Road quests. Every
time you log-in to Dragon Quest Tact for a daily playthrough,
you’ll want to complete your training quests before anything else.
Since
you have limited chances to get through those types of quests, it’s always
worth finishing them ASAP so you can farm the essential items that come from
them as a reward. You’ll want to continually strengthen your main party of monsters
for these mission types since the recommended CP level for training quests
jumps to difficult levels really fast.
Focus
on Fulfilling Objectives That Gift You With Gems
One
of the most essential types of currency you’ll want to accrue is gems. Gems can
be used to acquire all sorts of handy items from the Swap Shop. But you should
really save them when it comes time to perform an x10 scout. Going that route
when it comes to earning new monsters and duplicates for your awakening needs is
always a route worth embarking on.
Now
there’s a ton of ways you can get your hands on gems. The main method towards
earning them is simply by fulfilling all of the stage missions tied to an
adventure mode battle. Completing an assortment of daily, weekly, and feats
missions also nets you a good amount of gems. You can get your hands on even
more gems just by earning them as daily log-in and game release celebration
gifts. Gems can be purchased from the Handy Items section within the Swap Shop,
but you should refrain from doing so. Just save your gems for your monster
scouting efforts instead.
Every Parties Should Have a Leader With an Active
Perk
When
it comes time to assemble a party of monsters, there’s one objective you need
to keep in mind at all times – make sure the monster that’s in the number one
spot has an active leader perk in tow. If they have a perk that increases a
certain stat or lowers the cost of magic usage, then the rest of the party
should be filled with a nice variety of monster types.
But
if the leader perk you have activated works best for a certain monster class,
try to fill the rest of that party with the types of monsters that stick to
that specific monster family. Having a party full of beasts while its leader
has a perk that raises all beasts’ physical potency is a good example of that
type of party composition. Parties that are filled with a full lineup of a
certain monster family are even better if you’ve attained Master Rank level
boosts for them. Going the recommended route for each monster party’s equipment
setup is always the way to go, by the way.
Leveling up is the best way to get tougher
monsters
There
are several ways to strengthen your team of monsters with Dragon Quest Tact,
but the way to give you the best value is simply to level them up.
Statistically, this will give you the best attribute boost when you play, so
that’s what you should focus on.
Look
at things like battle roads to increase monster XP. You can get a lot of XP
scrolls, so try to use them as much as possible. Keep in mind that there are
many ways to get more Monster XP. That way, you’ll quickly get the toughest
monster you can.
Support character required
Not
only do you want to create a team that does physical damage, but you also need
a support character. These can heal your teammates, strengthen your team’s
strength, and weaken your enemies.
Team
composition is the key to success in Dragon Quest Tact, so look for support
characters that can add layers to your play. These characters can be obtained
from the lower layers as long as you know how to use them properly.
Save player’s XP scroll
Raising
a player’s rank is clearly a good idea, but with the option you don’t have to
level up right away. Instead, it’s a good idea to wait until you run out of
stamina. why? This is because the player who leveled up replenishes his
stamina.
Stamina
also doesn’t stack, so you can’t exceed the limit. So it’s a bit wasteful to
upgrade when you don’t need stamina. If you think carefully about how to do
everything with Dragon Quest Tact, it will work.
Think about leader benefits
The
team leader must have a leader perk to help the rest of the monsters. This can
mean packing a team full of monsters of the same type to get the most out of
the leader’s perks. It can also mean choosing the right leader to reflect the
style of your team.
Leader
perks can be very useful in tougher battles, so wasting them or not assigning
perks to leaders is a really bad idea. Experiment with the skills your leader
has to see which combination gives the best results.
