Infinite Galaxy Strategy Guide, Tips and Tricks for beginners.

Infinite Galaxy is a massive, awesome game of space exploration that sees you flying through the universe to try and stake your claim. You’re fighting other players, NPCs, mining, growing, building, researching and more. Basically there’s a lot to take in. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed though, but we’d hate for you to stop playing.

Which is where this beginner guide comes in. It gives you some hints, tips and tricks that are going to come in super handy when you’re getting started. Infinite Galaxy is a brilliant experience that’s packed full of content, but we’ve broken down what your focus should be when you’re getting started.

Gather resources

One of the key parts of Infinite Galaxy is gathering resources, and this should absolutely be your focus from the start of the game. The more you gather, the more you’ll be able to build and the stronger you’ll be able to become. Send out your scout ships as far and wide as you can to gain an advantage. Different types of space objects offer different resources, so make sure you’re not just mining one kind, otherwise you’ll find yourself short when it’s time to build or research new tech and buildings.

When you first play Infinite Galaxy, you have 2 main types of resources to collect and manage: Titanium and Deuterium. They are located in the upper right corner of the screen.

Khorium is the game's premium currency, used to buy instant upgrades. Later, you'll unlock other resources like Nickel and Plasma. Currently, only the first 2 types of resources are important.

Alliances and opponents

It’s important to team up with other players to get the most out of Infinite Galaxy. Not only will this make you stronger, it’ll make the game more fun as well. Choose your alliance carefully by checking their requirements and remember to contribute ships to strengthen other player’s spaceports when they ask. You’re far more likely to conquer the depths of space with other people by your side.

You can play the game on your own, but one of the key things to getting deeper into the game is joining an alliance. In the long run, the Alliance can assist you in extremely complex battles against super powerful opponents.

Alliances may have their own requirements for minimum strength level and minimum Spaceport level. You can only join an alliance if these 2 requirements are met. As a member of an Alliance, time for shipbuilding and research is reduced. You will be able to collect resources from planets in the territory of the Union. Alliance members can send reinforcements to each other and upon completing Alliance activities, players will receive honor points, which are exchanged for rewards such as warship blueprints.

Research and building are key

Research and building are super important in Infinite Galaxy. They let you open up new technologies and build more ships. The quicker you can do these things, the better, so prioritize adding new builder queues and levelling up your research capabilities. You’ll want to upgrade your core modules to get your speed up. Research and building can strengthen every part of your spaceport, from your fleet to your defenses, so make sure you’re doing it as often as you can.

Control of ships

In the battle screen, you can order the warship to move by selecting it and dragging the cursor to the desired location. In the lower left corner of the screen there are 2 timers that show when your reinforcements and enemies will arrive. The bottom right corner of the screen is divided into 3 areas:

·        Types of guns equipped on ships: Each has its own reload time.

·        Overall durability of warships: Divided into shield (blue) and HP (green).

·        2 skill activation: Missiles automatically aim at nearby targets and nuclear weapons activated manually.

Teleport when you can

Researching teleportation technology can come in really handy. Your starting location might not be perfect and once you’ve joined an alliance you might find yourself pretty isolated from the rest of your team. This is where teleportation comes in. It’s not cheap, but it can change your situation in some pretty dramatic ways.

Aerospace - the base of your operations

The Spaceport or aerospace acts as your base of operations. This place is divided into 9 areas that you can upgrade with resources:

·        Command Center : Upgrading this command center is a prerequisite for upgrading other areas.

·        Military Dock : The main shipyard. Upgrades to improve shipbuilding speed. You can build 3 types of ships: Frigate, Destroyer and Cruiser.

·        Flagship Dock : Maintenance and upgrade of ships. Upgrades to improve warship maintenance speed.

·        Storage Center : Protect collected resources. Upgrade to increase the amount of protected resources.

·        Defense Center : Manage the defense system of Spaceport. Upgrades to improve endurance and weapons.

·        Research Center : Conduct research projects. Upgrade to unlock higher research levels.

·        Exploration Center : Detects and collects information about star systems.

·        Repair Center : Repair of ships. Upgrades to increase the number of ships and speed of repairs.

·        Embassy : Control the number of reinforcements from the allies and how many times the allies can help you. Upgrade to increase both of the above stats.

Start up and operate your fleet

Here are some pointers to stay on top:

1. Build warships as often as possible: You will not only grow your fleet, but also protect Spaceport more effectively.

2. Focus on research and construction of cruisers (Cruisers): Cruisers provide considerable firepower and are more likely to survive life-and-death battles.

3. Get access to the Spaceport Teleportation as soon as possible: This allows you to move Spaceport to a more advantageous location like near members in the Alliance where there are many resources or to escape dangerous situations.

4. Assign suitable missions for Flagships: An excellent PvP fleet is led by a Flagship with good combat attributes. Meanwhile, the resource gathering fleet should be led by a Flagship that gives bonuses for resource gathering or movement speed.

5. Donate resources to the Alliance: When joining an Alliance, don't forget to contribute a portion of your resources. This will help develop the Alliance.

6. Learn the requirements of the Alliance before joining: Some Alliances form dedicated to combat and this requires you to be more active. Other Alliances may be more comfortable and you won't need to log into the game as often.

Make some space friends

It’s really important to join an alliance in Infinite Galaxy. After all, if the galaxy is infinite it’s going to be a pretty big ask to control it all on your own. Do some research on the Alliances you’re thinking about joining and make sure they’re the right fit for the way you play. And make sure you’re sending as much help as you can when other players in your chosen Alliance ask for ships and resources – space teamwork makes the space dream work.

Cruisers should be the backbone of your fleets

Cruisers are the most powerful ships in the game, so you should focus on building as many of them as possible. They’re tough, they’ve got loads of guns and while they’re a bit weak against Frigates, it’s usually not too much of a downside. Destroyers are solid and workmanlike, but Cruisers should always be your focus. They’ve got the coolest name as well.

Reap everything the universe has to offer

Resources are your most important weapon against the cold expanse of the galaxy. They let you build new ships, fix broken ones and much, much more. You should always have scout ships out there collecting as much as they possibly can. Remember that different space objects offer up different resources so don’t just focus on one sort, you’ll need a mix of elements to keep your factories running.

Crew members recruitment and development

You have to be sharp if you want to survive and research will be of great help. Spaceport's research center has 4 different topics, although you can only research 1 of them at a time: Resources (increasing the speed of gathering and producing resources), Development (improving many aspects of Spaceport), Military (unlock higher warship level and increase attributes) and Command (unlock additional warships in the twin ships, improve the warships' stats and the defense of Spaceport).

You also have the option to recruit crew members. Each member has 4 stats: Command (warship buff), Combat (buff of the warship), Tech (the weapon buff and the defenses of Spaceport) and Logistics (collecting and managing resources).

Above are some essential information and tips to play Infinite Galaxy for beginners. Hope what is shared in the article can help you to liberate or conquer the galaxy in a more favorable way.
