First Strike: Classic Is a ‘Refreshed and Optimized’ Version of Strategy Game, Coming to Mobile and PC Next Week.
Swiss developer Blindflug Studios today announced a completely refreshed and optimized version of iconic nuclear war strategy game First Strike, launching 10 March for PC, iOS and Android devices. First Strike Classic reprises First Strike: Final Hour with a brand-new AI with new behaviors and a redesigned user interface. The First Strike Classic update replaces the older versions of First Strike on Steam, Google Play Store and Apple App Store free of charge.
First Strike has been played by over 11 million players since its release in 2014 in almost every country on Earth. Be it South Sudan, China, the Virgin Islands, the US or Mongolia, there are First Strike players everywhere with only one exception: North Korea.
The change – called First Strike: Classic – will add new AI practices and an overhauled UI, and it will supplant the current adaptations of First Strike: Final Hour on Android, iOS, and PC for nothing out of pocket.
First released in 2014, First Strike is an innovative and polished strategy game in which you need to outnuke your opponents on a spherical map. There are 12 nuclear superpowers to choose from, including the US, Russia, and North Korea, plus 12 different rockets to mount your nukes on.
Over the years, the First Strike fan community has requested new content. This remastered version of the game will now serve as the base for future content updates. Those expansions are exclusive to the free version of the game, which are planned to start rolling out in summer 2021.
Developer Blindflug Studios has declared a "revived and streamlined" variant of its exemplary atomic war-themed system game First Strike: Final Hour, and it's going to the Google Play Store one week from now.
First Strike is a fast-paced strategy game with solid reviews, a cabinet full of awards, and a huge playerbase. It’s also really good.
According to Blindflug, First Strike: Classic will serve as the basis for future updates, with expansions planned for this summer.
